Independent Travel Option

Discovering the Land of the Incas tour can be arranged independently on your preferred travel dates.  These tours are not personally led by El Tigre Journeys facilitators.  Your arrival in Cuzco will be coordinated with a professional facilitator and/or bilingual Andean guide who will meet you at the Cuzco airport and connect you with your tour group in Cuzco.

The cost is $800.00 per person, not including airfare, airport taxes, most meals (except breakfasts) and personal items. No minimum participation required, however the tour itinerary may sometimes vary a little from that described on our website.

RECOMMENDED OPTION AT COST ADDED:  Private combi van or taxi with driver can be arranged from Cuzco to train departure at Ollantaytambo (three days) for cost added (approximately US$90 per day).  This option guarantees the itinerary as posted and allows desirable flexibility in the flow of your travel and amount of time spent at each point of interest.

Private bilingual guide can be arranged at approximately US$60 per day.

Discovering the Land of the Incas officially commences upon arrival in Cuzco on the starting date and ends with your departure from Cuzco on the closing date (day seven). We provide airport transportation regardless of your arrival or departure times.  Please provide us with your detailed travel itinerary as soon as it is confirmed.

This itinerary can be modified for three, four, five or six days with corresponding cost adjustment.  Let us know your interests and priorities and we'll design an itinerary to suit your needs.

Terms of Registration and Payment

Registration requires submission of signed and notarized waiver of liability and acceptance of terms and conditions. Contact us for an application packet which can be received via regular postal mail or printed from our URL addresses.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 will reserve your space and must be received 30 days prior to the date of your arrival in Cuzco.  Sixty-day advance reservations are required during the peak season (May-September).  The balance due must be paid 35 days before arrival by money order or certified check to our Boulder, Colorado office.
