Among learned humans I have been known of as Aziz. If you wish to learn about knowledge long kept from your kind then fly with me into the forests and mountains of the Sachamama. The Sachamama is the true queen of the forest. The Great Serpents are another dracoform or type of Dragon, simply with no legs. In some ancient cultures they have been called "Great Worms." In reality they are just another cousin to the Dragons and are consider as one with us.

As I have flown over the great forests and mountains that are now known mostly as South America over many eons, I have seen many things. There is so much to share with the inquiring mind that I almost do not know where to start. Maybe it would be best to use what you call "history" as a guideline for you. But you likely know human history. I would share with you a new outlook of what happened in this land. This will be the tale from the perspective of we Dragons. Because of this you may find yourself challenged to understand what is being imparted. But please come along with me on this trip and try and learn things from another's viewpoint. A look at your history from our eyes may well help you to understand that there are always several sides to any story and truth as beauty is often in the eyes of the beholder.

Let us meet the forest mother and hear her views on the great Inca experience:

Can you find Sachamama in this picture?

I am the Sachamama, and my memory goes back to the murky ages even before mankind arrived in my forests. In the beginning there was only balance. All forms interacted to achieve this. The sun and the rain caused the plants to grow. Many animals then ate of the plants and drank of the waters. Still others ate those that ate the plants like the Jaguar eats the porcupine. And when the jaguar dies his flesh goes back into the soil to further the cycle along and complete the circle.

And then came man. At first we were amused. How would this hairless animal survive in our jungle. Most of the other animals just laughed and ignored this newcomer. But I could sense something different with this newest addition to my forest. At the start there was still much harmony. One could not live in the forest and not understand and respect the very laws that govern there.

The trouble in the forests started when the word "Inca" was first heard here. At the beginning everything was in balance. The humans that moved into the forests had to respect the natural laws that governed my forest. To trespass or use to many resources in any area simply caused failure and often death of those who were ignorant or stupid.

I allow no exceptions to my laws. Don't pay attention and things happen. The napping spider monkey who doesn't hear the jaguar becomes lunch. The humans who harvest to many plants finds that they can no longer find enough to eat and so move on. thus balance is kept and the laws observed.

When too many animals try to drink from the same source eventually it dries up and all perish or move on until the rains replenish the source. But when mankind started to come to the Jungles and forest in large numbers, this did not happen like we thought it would.

These humans were very clever. They had the ability to bring in food and supplies from other areas if ever they ran short. And they diverted and stored the water for the lean times.

But pretty soon as I measure time they stopped coming deep into my forest. they found it easier and safer to stay along the rivers and in the high hills. So things went on as before.

But some humans were much smarter than others. they started to learn my ways. They started to study and learn the laws of my kingdom. So to encourage this I started to talk to them in their dreams. Those that listened learned which plants to combine in certain ways as I taught and by drinking them they were able to communicate with me and some others of my kind.

Now they too could learn of the true nature of the forest of the Sachamama. And we taught them our histories, our laws and our ways. And these humans who could learn to talk to the various plants, animals, stones, and all within this kingdom were called "Shamans."

My name is Jose Carlos Rupa but my forest name given to me by the Mother of the Forest is Tezcatlipoca meaning "twin". She told me that I reminded her of an ancient relative who flies from very long ago. My friends call me Tez. I am a shaman.

When I was very young I was found by tribesmen of the (I am not allowed to use their real name here) let's call them the "Bark people." As I was still young and not set in the ways of my city parents the tribe's Shaman agreed to let me watch him prepare for and conduct his ceremonies in the deep jungle. For several years I witnessed the mixing of several plants of the forest that were prepared in a special way for a ceremony held only for the men of the tribe.

This ceremony started with ritual purification for several days to a week before. Then all those that were to participate drank of this mysterious and ancient brew. Within a few minutes all were stretched out on the leaf covered floor of their open air cathedral and were having visions.

I heard them later talking to the Shaman of what they had seen. In the course of many ceremonies many, many different vision were discussed. But what I noticed in common were that most of the visions were of snakes. Often they were glowing fluorescent serpents of immense size. Many times these snakes would talk to the one having the vision and explain things of and about the forest and the world around them.

Finally I was told that I was now ready to participate. My heart was both full of dread and great longing to experience what many others had. No one ever talked about having a bad experience under a vision-quest, although sometimes they were frightening. but the raw jungle by itself can be very frightening to those not on intimate terms with her.

My remembrance of my first time is like it was only yesterday, although it was over 50 years ago. At first I saw many eyes watching me in my own private vision. Then two of the eyes got much bigger, luminescent, and filled with light. As they approached me from what seemed far up in the heavens I soon noticed that they were part of an almost invisible snake, a giant anaconda. When she stopped just above me I heard in my head words though her mouth moved not at all.

"I have watched you the last few years young human. You are not like the others from the city. You can do much for my children around you if you decide to dedicate your life to this. You have the knowledge of the city, but the respect of my forest children for all around you. Do you have any interest in this?"

I did not know what to say. But my heart seemed to answer for me as if it had always known this would happen. "Yes ancient mother. What must I do."

"You must lose yourself into me. You will be reborn knowing the language of creation. It will not be easy, but with dedication and hard work you may be the one I have been seeking; The Speaker For The Sachamama."

Knowing not what to say next I waited as she opened her mouth wide. Inside I could see the very stars above and many swirling bright colors.

"Step inside and take a lifelong journey with me Tezcatlipoca."

It has never been the same with me since that exciting moment. I stepped through here mouth and felt myself torn into many pieces. I was thrown about as in a gale wind. My mind went one way, my heart another, and my body went still another way and I knew no more for a long time.

When I awoke the old shaman was sitting beside me and singing songs that before I never knew what they meant. Now they were clear. I asked him why he was singing about maninkari, the spirit beings.

"Ah, so you have talked to the Mother as I was told in a vision you would? You have been away for three days and three nights and the others were stating to worry about you. But I knew it would be all right."

And that was my introduction to the great Mother called the Sachamama. Over the rest of my life I learned much about all the creatures of her forest. they all were alive, the stones, the trees, the plants, the smallest to the largest of the animals. They were all connected in a web of light and song and I will tell you about them.
