Where
people interact intentionally with animals there can be many outcomes.
These creatures can be worshiped as Gods or devils, they may be used as
subjects for works of art, they may be ground up and parts used for healing
practices, and they may be raised for food or driven away as competition.
But the study of how this interaction has taken place, to what degree,
and to what outcomes is always ethno followed by some ology like biology,
zoology, etc. In our case it is followed by the study of reptiles and
amphibians and hence ethnoherpetology. In this section we will look at
the role of our little brothers and sisters in the reptile and amphibian
kingdoms and how they interacted with the indigenous cultures found in
the Kingdom of the Boa.
