Tiger Rattlesnake
The tiger rattlesnake (Crotalus tigris) is found only in Sonora and Arizona. It is characterized by its small head and large rattle.

The color may vary from gray to pink, with darker bands comprised of tiny dots.
The tiger rattlesnake inhabits the drier foothills and adjacent rocky desert where it occupies a niche quite different from the western diamondback and sidewinder.

It appears to have a highly potent venom, but human bites are infrequent.
